Succumbing to the Sickness

She has felt the 'Slender Sickness' sinking in for some time now; she's felt a bit nauseous, she's tasted blood in her mouth, she's been having trouble seeing because of a static-like blur that has begun clouding her vision, and she's been plagued by a sharp ringing that seems to have taken a permanent residence in her hears.

But she presses onward.

She pushes deeper into the forest, and she knows that she will not consider stopping until she finds him. The sickness has started to take hold, but she only sees that as a good thing, it means she's getting close.

She persists, she calls his name optimistically, and she's sworn to until her last breath...

Which may come all too soon...
