Personally, I hate 'em.
They're supposed to protect you, but all they do is throw snowballs, which isn't by itself a bad thing, but the snowballs don't do damage! What's worse is they use said snowballs to piss off creepers and get your stuff, (the stuff they were supposed to protect) destroyed!
They deserve their permanent imprisonment in our snow farms, only existing to give us free snowballs.
